According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in December 2025, China imported 146.7 million tons of aluminum ore and its concentrates, a decrease of 1.7% compared to the previous year; from January to December, the cumulative import of aluminum ore and its concentrates reached 200.53 million tons, a growth of 26.4% year-on-year.
In December, China exported 210,000 tons of alumina, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.3%; for the entire year of 2012, a cumulative total of 2.55 million tons was exported, with a year-on-year growth of 42.7%.
In December, China exported 540,000 tons of unprocessed aluminum and aluminum products, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year; for the entire year of 2012, the cumulative export volume was 6.13 million tons, a decrease of 8.0% compared to the previous year.
In December, China imported 320,000 tons of unprocessed aluminum and aluminum products, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year; from January to December, the cumulative import volume reached 3.92 million tons, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year.
